This program of study leads to a Post Certificate B.Sc. Nursing Degree offered by the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Science, Bangalore. The candidates are necessarily required to possess high motivation towards Nursing profession. They should possess special qualities for spirit altruism, commitments and dedication to work and a high level of maturity. The students are provided with theoretical instruction integrated with clinical experience that enables the students to take up the first level positions in nursing. However with experience they can rapidly move into leadership and supervisory positions in various areas of nursing education and practice. This program provides the necessary foundation to take-up Post Graduate and Doctoral studies in Nursing.
The program is designed: To provide a balance of professional and general education to enable a student to become a professional nurse practitioner who has self-direction and responsibility of a citizen.
Graduates of the program are prepared for beginning level positions in community and institutional Nursing services and have the foundation for continuing professional development and for post-graduate study in Nursing.
Candidates seeking admission should have: Passed GNM with 2 years experience Recognition: Our Post Basic B.Sc. Course is recognized by Government of Karnataka. Approved by Karnataka State Nursing Council Bangalore and *Indian Nursing Council, New Delhi. Affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bangalore.
Candidates seeking admission should have:
Minimum and maximum age for admission will be 17 and 35 years respectively. For ANM/LHV, there is no age bar. 10+2 class passed or equivalent.
Those who have cleared 10+2 vocational ANM course (revised after 2001) from the School recognized by Indian Nursing Council.
ANM training i.e. 10+1.5 years training should also have passed +2 or its equivalent examination.
Admission of students shall be once in a year, Student should be medically fit.
In addition to the above, admission procedure can be laid down by concerned State Nursing Council/Nursing Examination Boards (S.I.B.E, M.I.E.B., C.M.A.I)
